Cause 2 weeks of vacation doesn't cut it!

I'm sitting here trying to figure out how I can cram the following trips into a measly two weeks of vacation time:

March 28-April 3rd: Seattle, WA (Spring Championships)

May 18-19: Ann Arbor, MI (Grand Prix)

August 1-4: Irvine, CA (Summer Nationals/World Trials)

Thank goodness Pan Pacs will be on TV (and edited down to only focus probably on the US swimmers) so I don't have to worry about going to that.

And this doesn't even bring into account whether or not I want to go back to Austin this year for the Texas Invite, or go to the US Open (they're the same weekend) since after those three trips, I'm officially out of vacation time and probably can't go to any of them!

And even with those trips, I'm having to do a slice and dice. Like the Spring Championships start on the 28th, but the first day is stuff I don't super care about (like the 1500m free)so I'm pretty much skipping the first day. Only reason I have to take the 3rd off is because there doesn't appear to be any flights out on that Sunday that aren't a red-eye.

And Summer Nationals are actually August 1-5th, so I have to look for a red-eye (or early evening) flight out on July 31st, and try to find an early morning flight out on August 6th so I can be back at work Monday the 7th.

Complicating all this is the fact that Columbus has the *worst* flight selection going out west. If it didn't consistantly cost twice as much to fly out of Dayton or Cincy, I'd look there instead.

Thank God Spring and Summer Nationals next year are out east. And hopefully Ohio State's new pool will start getting some of these bigger meets so I don't have to travel at all!

Yeesh. Good luck with that.

Right now it looks like the only meets I can go to are the Grand Prix in Michigan and the U.S. Open in Indiana (and that isn't until the end of the year)...

*sigh* Damn these jobs and/or finances, preventing us from our OGles!

I can't not go to Summer Nationals though, because all the swimmers I like will definitely be there since it's also the Trials for Worlds. I'm hoping Spring Nationals has a good lineup too--I think people would be silly to skip it, since it's the first major long course meet of the year. You'd think they'd like to see where they stack up against everyone else going into the long course season.
