Smallville Spoilers Community

This morning, a couple people were upset because some spoilers, or potential spoilers leaked out that weren't behind cut tags. Which is understandable--some people like to remain spoiler free.

I thought it might be easier for those who want to discuss spoilers if there were a community for Smallville spoilers, so I used one of my LJ codes to create one: sv_spoilers

I wasn't sure if such a community already existed--I searched, but nothing seemed to pop up, unless they named it something else.

So if you want to join that community and discuss spoilers, feel free. :) I don't know if that will work or help the situation, but I guess it can't hurt to try.

Although, I don't know if I did it right. Guess we'll find out sooner or later...

ETA: The communities that you join don't show up on your friends list unless you add them to your friends list, right? Because if anyone who joins doesn't add it to their friends list, we wouldn't have to worry about people stumbling across spoilers while reading someone else's friends list or anything.

Well, if you add sv_spoilers to your friends list, because you are my friend, it'll show up on my friendsfriends list.

But then again, the community idea is good, because one can be a member of a community and not friend it (i.e., only read messages in the community and not on one's friends list). That way, people would only stumble on the messages if they actually visit the LJ community.

Right--I asked people not to add it to their friends lists, so hopefully no one will. Although, I'm the only member right now, so I guess it doesn't matter.

Right...that's what I meant. If you are going through my friends list, you'll see it even if you aren't a member. Like I'm not a member of the Wednesday 100 community, but if I scroll through Rhi's friends list, I can see the entries (because she has it on her friends list, and I'm on her friends list too.)

But if I don't add it to my friends list, but rather access it from the "Members Of" section of my User Info page, it shouldn't show up on anyone's friends list. At least I don't think it should. Like, it's not showing up on my friends list, or anyone else's friends list I don't think (at least not anyone that I've checked) because I don't have it on my friends list.

But if you're not a member and it's showing up on your friends list through me, let me know.
