Does Alli really work?

Because....my weight loss has ground to a complete halt. I haven't lost any weight this month. In fact, I keep bouncing around the same 5 pounds up and down over and over. And the problem is, I need to lose weight so that I can exercise! I mean, shit--I don't want to freakin' break the machines! Something is really wrong, because I am not eating any differently than I was when I was losing weight.

So...I think I need some medical assistance, before I go the next route, which is going to a obesity center and going on the Optifast plan. I want to be able to say I've exhausted several options before going that route.

If you don't follow the strict low-fat diet, you will most probably have um... digestive ailments. Otherwise, it's a great way to kick-start yourself.

I do generally eat a pretty low fat diet. I looked at the site, and it was saying 15 grams of fat per *meal*, and I'm not entirely sure I eat more than that in a whole *day*! I generally pretty much for protein just eat skinless boneless chicken breasts, low fat fish like tilapia, or ground turkey breast which is 99% fat free. I use fat free butter(er...so it's not really butter. It's something called Smart Start, and it's only got like 5 calories per tablespoon. But it tastes just like butter) and I pretty much try to avoid anything that has more than 5 grams of fat in it in general. I don't even use oil in cooking, except for the fat free nonstick spray. Even when I eat ice cream, it's all fat free or low fat.

Now, if there are other restrictions, that I'll need to look into, but if it's just the fat part, I don't think that's a problem.

I looked into it myself, but I'm put off by the side effects plus the fact that its not a quick fix, you still have to diet, but you'll lose about an extra 1lb a week taking the pills. It's not enough for me. I started the Master Cleanse today. I'm not feeling great but it's not surprising on the first day. I'm hoping to lose the 12lbs I put back on in the 10 days and then I'll see if I can keep going a little longer and lose some more before Asylum.

Hehe--no way could I do Master Cleanse! I mean, maybe if I only had 10 pounds to lose, but I'd have to stay on that for about 2 years to lose what I need to lose. Right now my goal was to lose 70 pounds by September....I'm not going to make that goal, since that's only 4 months away and I still have 50 lbs to go. But overall, I think I need to lose about 150-200lbs, in all honesty, and what I *really* need is lapband surgery, but since my insurance won't pay for it, that's out.

So even 1 extra pound a week would be an extra 52lbs in a year, I guess. Might be worth it for me, since this isn't going to be anything I lose overnight or anything...unless I do the optifast plan, where I can drop 20lbs in a week! Then again, you completely give up food on that and only take in about 800 calories per day.

I had 100lbs to lose from when I started dieting in October last year. I lost about 45lbs doing a food replacement diet that we have over here but it was incredibly expensive and I had to stop, I couldnt afford to keep paying £66 a week. Then I started calorie counting and exercise but as always, I lapsed and ended up putting back around 12lbs of that. So now I still have about 67lbs to lose and I want to do it as quickly as I can. My brother gets married the first weekend of July and I really want to be at my goal by then or close to it if I can. I know it's asking a lot of myself but I can't go back to the way I was.

I took Alli and I didn't lose any weight. I changed the way I ate and everything, but it didn't help me at all.

Well, crud!

I have to do something--I do NOT want to get my picture taken with skinny little Misha while I'm looking all whale-like and bloated.

Where is Jillian from the Biggest Loser when I need her????
