As soon as Smallville starts giving Rosenbaum some fairly interesting things to do (as opposed to last season and the whole stupid Lana marriage/fake baby thing) he goes and leaves the show.

Not that it was unexpected--he pretty much said midseason that he was leaving, and I knew all the "he might be back for occasional appearances" was probably not happening.

So all the peeps going to DragonCon are gonna have to keep us informed as to what he says his future plans are going to be. Because if it's more stuff like Kickin' It Old School....thanks but no thanks!

Well damn... he is the only reason I have stuck with the show for this long.

Yeah, he's definitely been pretty much the main reason to watch (except last season, when the main reason to watch was Justin Hartley's Green Arrow.)

It seems like there's not gonna be much left next season--it doesn't sound like Kristin will be back, from what I've heard they've yet to resign Allison Mack (who would probably really be the only reason for watching next season, as Chloe's interactions with Clark are pretty good)so it's possible she won't be back, and even though I do like Kara, I don't know if she'd be enough to make me watch. If they keep it paired with SPN I'll probably continue to watch just because it's on beforehand, but I'm sure I'll care less about it than I do even now.

Is it just me, or did he not thank his fellow cast?

He didn't specifically thank them--just mentioned them when he said: " I will definitely miss the greatest crew in the world, and the wonderful cast that has been like a family to me." So I guess he took that as his thank you/shoutout to them.

Okay, so clearly I am blind and didn't see that part.

BUT, check out my new icon!!!!

I'll miss him but if he does one more cruddy comedy I'll just wave good-bye to him.

This news now tempts me to keep track of everybody on my FList that says "I won't watch the last season since MR won't be on it!" and next year if they utter one peep about the show I'll get to tell them that they're not supposed to be watching, so they should be quiet so nobody finds out that they're fibbers.

He sold a show to Fox I think about his childhood. When I go to DC I will try to find out about that. I'm also going to attempt to give him my name, but I'm terrified he will get that knowing look in his eye and be all, oooooh. Edie. I know you. And then hand me a restraining order.
